October to March is the best time — post-monsoon weather is pleasant, all attractions are open, and the backwaters are at their most picturesque. Avoid June to September for hill stations and houseboat trips due to heavy rainfall.

Q: Is the houseboat experience suitable for families and seniors?

Yes — Kerala houseboats are spacious and comfortable, with private bedrooms, attached bathrooms, and a dedicated cook. Premium houseboats have wide decks and AC cabins. They are perfectly safe for children and elderly travellers.

Q: How many people can a houseboat accommodate?

Standard 1-bedroom houseboats fit 2 adults. 2-bedroom boats fit up to 4 adults. For larger groups we arrange multiple houseboats or premium 3-bedroom vessels.

Q: What is included in the houseboat stay?

All meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast), a Shikara boat ride, and a dedicated crew including a cook, captain, and helper are included. Beverages are on a paid basis.

Q: How is the road to Munnar / hill stations?

The roads are well-maintained but winding through the ghats. We use experienced local drivers familiar with mountain roads. Journey time estimates include scenic stops. We recommend avoiding travel after dark in the hills.
